The Saval Kitchenflex K6 and K9 detection / extinguishing system is a modular fire protection system, intended for extinguishing fires in the fryer and the corresponding hood. The system extinguishes quickly and safely with Bioclass ABF foam, especially suitable for oil and grease fires. Essential in today's professional kitchen!
The extinguishing foam cylinder is mounted in the kitchen layout. The special Cesaflex detection line is installed at the top of the extractor hood. At the end of the detection line the end piece is connected with the pressure gauge and the manual activation button. This end piece is mounted within reach, but in a safe place, so that the system can be safely activated manually.
When the system is operational the detection line of the Kitchenflex is under nitrogen pressure of approx. 12 bar. In case of fire, the heat of the flames will soften the material. As soon as the detection line has reached a temperature of approx. 160° C, it will burst open. The nitrogen pressure drops, causing the extinguisher valve to open. The ABF fire extinguishing foam is then released and transported through the stainless steel piping network through the foam sprayers onto the protected object. The entire content of the cylinder is brought onto the object. As soon as a sufficient cover is reached, the fire stops.
